The Club
Q: Why should I join an investment club?
A: Through the club, you learn how to evaluate all types of different investments. The purpose of the group is for you to learn from an analysis of real trades. The group will not make specific recommendations for future trades, but will be open for discussion about how to think about ideas you might have for your own investments. Separate side businesses have come out of these things. I know I want to own a minor league baseball team one day - all of this while making some money for yourself. Some investment clubs go on to form an LLC, so that they actually distribute dividends to their members. This strategy will increase the net worth of the club as well as your own net worth and broadening your own stock portfolio. Right now we have invested in high-yield dividend stocks. We also invest in options of a stock index, the S&P 500: SPX. We will push ourselves to stay with investing in more risky, yet low-cost, tax-efficient index funds while we learn the system.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: The cost is $100 to join and $50 every month. All money goes to investing and trade fees, as well as any business fees, since we are officially a registered business. I would venture to say that 90-95% of the money goes to investing, with the remainder going to overhead.
Q: What is the structure?
A: We have officers and committees. Our committees research different financial sectors (Energy, International, etc.). You can download our Bylaws/Partnership Agreement.
Q: Who's in the club?
A: The club membership consists of mostly first time or inexperienced investors. We are basically learning from each other how to "play the game". We encourage each member to have their own investing accounts, I'm with Fidelity. It will be difficult to get rich off of $50 a month, but through your work with the club, you will learn how to make your own financial moves with bigger money. This is good especially if you cannot seem to do as well as the club is doing. The educational courses, monthly seminars and webinars, live presentations by industry experts, and online tutorials have been a valuable club resource allowing you to follow the club motto "Each one, Teach one". The InCrowd Enterprises Limited investment club is for those of you who are also interested in learning more about using conservative options trading strategies.
Q: Can I join if I don't live in Columbus, Ohio?
A: We have made it a policy that anyone can join from anywhere in the world. We encourage everyone to physically show up for meetings, but we have a conference call set up for everyone that lives outside of Columbus or is traveling. If you are unable to attend, we will record the sessions and post a link to the recordings. We encourage all members to join in the discussions with your own questions.

Meetings
Q: When are the meetings?
A: Meetings are the 1st Tuesday of every month @ 7:00 p.m. We keep the meetings to about 3.5 hours.
Q: What happens at the meetings?
A: The club debates our options and votes to make a certain investment, which the Business/Operational Officer will put in for us in the coming month. The cost is $100 to join and $50 every month. All money goes to investing and trade fees, as well as any business fees, since we are an officially registered business. We also discuss news about information that affects stocks, bonds, indexes, options, futures, currencies, commodities, derivatives, etc. in a session called
Market Talk.

Our Money
Q: How do you decide on your stocks?
A: We are a self-directed partnership where the majority of the members decide how to invest our money using expertise throughout the finance industry. Each month, we usually do a little analysis on some aspect of the stock market, with our blasting each other with questions. This helps us learn more about the market, how and why it moves, and how we can make money out of it. Risk management techniques are implemented whereby we never risk more than 5%-10% of our capital on any given trade and maintain a diversified portfolio.
